GroveWorks: the story

GroveWorks was born from the personal experience of company director, Ken Macdonald. He was working for a regeneration project, North Kensington City Challenge, in 1997 when he was given the additional task of editing the 32 page community magazine, West Ten. That was on top of running a £2 million per year community and arts programme. A normal working week suddenly had many extra hours added to it. Fortunately, Ken was able to produce the magazine with some success.

But that set him to thinking. Surely it shouldn't be like this. Communications are an essential element of the work of many organisations – much more than an arbitrary add-on to someone's already full job description. And that's where the idea for GroveWorks came from.
